(She used her hankerchief to cover the wound of the man) Old Man: Thank you, you are so kind. I was a stranger to you, yet you helped me. Here, take this. ( Man gives the locket or necklace) This is the only thing i could give in return of your kindness. Good Samaritan: Oh, no sir, that wouldn't be necessary. Helping someone who is in need is enough for me. Old Man: Thank you. May the Lord bless you. ( And the two part their ways.) Narrator: During the early christian era, with Jesus Christ's teaching of love and care, groups of people were organized as orders to care for the sick, the poor, orphans, widows,aged, prisoners, and slaves. They are called deacons and deaconesses. Years after, the Good Samaritan later served as one of the deaconesses in their community. 2nd scene: Phoebe visiting a house Phoebe: Good Morning, I am here to see your father's condition. How is he? Child: He looks fine now compare to yesterday. Phoebe: That's good. Just continue to give him sponge bath whenever his temperature rise up. Child: Thank you madam. Bishop: I see your predicament. From now on, this house will be a home for stangers, sick, insane, leprosy affected orphans, aged, and travelers who are in need.
