Basics of Science

Course Information Title: Science Basics Level: Suitable for Middle School, High School Level Dates: New assignments will be posted every Monday, answer keys and grades posted as soon as possible Location: http://free-online-self-education.blogspot.com/ Instructor: Nika Kohrt webber35@gmail.com 508-205-9935 Course Description The Science course will be one of the most thorough courses. It will explore each of the branches of science thoroughly. Students will explore the concepts through labs and experiments, which is a feature the other courses do not have. At the end of each unit will be an assessment of some sort. Grades, Answer Keys, and Samples on individual works are posted separately online, nal grades are not given, unless special arrangements are made through email. Objectives For me, as the educator, the objective is to thoroughly educate myself as well as any who choose to peruse my works. I thoroughly enjoy science and therefore, with this course I will be exploring and researching the various aspects of science for entertainment as well as education. I will be sharing my works here for the benet of others, but for the entertainment of myself. Any works produced are to be thoroughly usable by anyone, student or instructor. Expectations I have no other expectation for the viewers than to remain viewers or users, and not spammers, hackers, or vandals of any sort. I am open to suggestions, but also of course desire a clean, educational site. For this course especially, I would be glad for feedback and ideas. Materials This course will probably require the most materials of all, as labs and experiments will require common household objects and perhaps other easy-access materials. A low-grade microscope may prove useful in certain instances, but not a necessity. I also nd StudyBlue a valuable resource with the course.
