Behavioral Objectives

: By the end of this lesson, pupils will be able to: a. name 5 buildings according to the maps shown correctly. b. rearrange the alphabet to the name of buildings at least 4 out of 5 correctly.

c. find the name of the buildings in the word maze at least 4 out of 5 correctly. Previous Knowledge : Pupils are familiar with the buildings around them.

Steps 1 (Presentation) 15 minutes

Reading - Buildings: E.g: - factory - post office - fire station - police station - supermarket 1. Teacher shows the map. 2. Teacher asks pupils, what they can see from the map. 3. Teacher introduces the buildings that can be found in the map. Teaching aids: - map - flash cards

Steps 2 (Practice) 15 minutes

Writing The name of buildings : - factory - post office - fire station - police station - supermarket

1. Teacher will explain five names of the buildings by using a map. 2. Teacher asks pupils to spell the buildings.

1. Pupils will listen and pronounce the name of the buildings. 2. Pupils will spell the word of the buildings.

Teaching aids: - worksheet

3. Teacher explains on how to work on the worksheet which requires pupils to rearrange the alphabet of buildings. 4. Teacher will distribute the worksheet to each pupil. 5. Teacher asks pupils to exchange their worksheet with their friends . 6. Teacher will give the correct spelling using flash cards. Stage 3 20 minutes Writing The name of buildings : - factory - post office - fire station - police station - supermarket
