Leadership is a process by which a person influences others to accomplish an objective and directs the organization in a way that makes it more cohesive and coherent. Leaders carry out this process by applying their leadership attributes, such as beliefs, values, ethics, character, knowledge, and skills According to Bass(1989&1990) there are three basic ways how people become leaders

The Position Myth People have a misconception that leadership comes from a title. A title or a position will make you a boss not a leader. The true measure of leadership is influence and not the position most of the people wait for that position to lead and miss the opportunities they get. A person has to start from the position he or she has been given and start from there to reach to top Leadership is a choice you make, not a place you sit
