ACT ND

GRADE
Grammar Zones
We have entered the Grammar Zones! Our first stop is Noun Town. The ACT students have been hired as detectives to solve the town mystery. Each detective has been assigned a team. They are quickly becoming experts of various types of nouns (plural, proper, possessive, pronoun, etc.) while completing interactive missions and earning clue cards. Stay tuned for the who, what, when and where!

Browns Travel Agency

This year in ACT we will be putting our best foot forward as we take a yearlong learning journey. Much of our itinerary focuses on enhancing the students thinking skills, creativity, and ability to collaborate with their peers. Each child has received his or her own passport in which they are earning a stamp at each educational stop on our trip.

During this literature-based activity the students were introduced to the world of SUPERlatives as they read Judi Barretts book Things that are Most in the World. The ACT students became authors and illustrators as they were challenged to create a class book utilizing their idea of the most using their own creativity and imagination. So keep an eye out for this award-winning publication coming your way soon!

The MOST

Changing lives one tab at a time!

Collecting pop tabs is a great way to teach kids about philanthropy and the importance of recycling, and raise funds to help children and their families at the same time. The ACT students have taken on the challenge of filling a one gallon bucket with tabs. The students are encouraged to take initiative and ask friends and family members to help with this project. All tabs will be donated to Cincinnatis Ronald McDonald House Charities.
