1 cup butter 1 cups brown sugar 3 eggs 3 cups flour 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp cinnamon tsp salt 1 cup walnuts 1 cup raisons 1 tablespoons water
Directions
Cream butter & sugar. Add well beaten eggs. Sift soda, salt, cinnamon and flour. Mix cream part with of the flour mix. Add the raisons, nuts and water. Drop teaspoons of dough on well greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 18 minutes
heat stirring until sugar dissolves. Cook on high heat, dont stir until it reached hard ball stage about 260 Beat egg whites (room temp) until stiff peaks form. Pour hot sugar mix in a very thin stream over egg whites while beating constantly at high speed w/mixer. Add vanilla, and beat (5-10 mins) until mixture holds shape. Stir in pecans and chopped cherries. Drop by teaspoons onto waxed paper. Top with candied cherry halves. Let cool.
