Wag Your Tail For Me By Trimelda C.

Do our pets go to heaven?-someone once asked of me Do their souls carry on when life ceases to be? Are they in God s own heaven where living abounds, Or sleeping forever in the hard, cold, dry ground?

That s hardly a question in the greater scheme of things As to whether our cats and our dogs will wear wings But if you ve ever been gifted with an animal to love You know when they die that they re reborn above.

So wag your tail doggie as you sit by His Throne In the glories of Heaven forget not your own Intercede for my needs please while I carry on Cause it gets kind of lonely here now that you re gone

When Christ walked the earth I bet He had a pet too A furry faced Apostle more faithful and true Than Judas who sold Him or Peter who lied They never betrayed Him or left Him to die

A pet would have fought to their very last breath Than let their Creator be led to His Death So how could a God who has conquered the grave Not care for these creatures He carefully made?

So wag your tails doggies, and bark for me too Please tell the Lord Jesus to help us get through Those dark times ahead where the light will grow dim Oh sinless by nature intercede for us then!

All creatures weak and mighty and animals great and small Wisdom helped make them , Father cares for them all If no sparrow can fall outside of God s plans Then surely Christ catches their souls in His Hands

For they re loyal and faithful and honest and kind No guile in their hearts and no hate on their minds They don t know any malice, unforgiveness or sin Where else would they go when their earthly life ends?

So wag your tail doggies and cats purr their say Fish leap up joyfully and birds soar away In the endless skies of Heaven thru the streams up above

Where the Life lasts forever and the world runs by Love Remind our Maker of His blind children s pain And help us remember we ll see you again. And help us remember we ll see you again

I think they re all standing at God s Golden Gate Quietly sitting as for us they wait

So wag your tail Don t you totally forget me in your new eternal home Intercede for me buddy while I try to carry on Wag your tail for me
