FILE SELECTION TECHNIQUES

a) Clicking simply click on the file you wish to select or highlight b) Ctrl+ Click select multiple files individually c) Shift+Click select a range of consecutive files d) Ctrl+Shift+Click select several ranges of consecutive files e) Drag Highlight click and drag the mouse to form an expanding square or rectangle to encompass the files you want to select f) Ctrl+A selects all files in a folder

COPYING TECHNIQUES
a) Right click > Copy Right click > Paste b) Ctrl+C Ctrl+V - copies the selected files into memory - paste the copied files into the destination

c) Drag the highlighted files into the destination * This technique applies only if the source and destination are on SEPARATE DRIVES * If they are on the SAME DRIVE then you must do a Ctrl+Drag

MOVING TECHNIQUES
a) Right click > Cut Right click > Paste b) Ctrl+X Ctrl+V - dims the selected files and copies them into memory - paste the copied files into the destination and deletes them from the source
