ABSTRACT

Was studied general toxicity of the species Chenopodium ambrosioides, by the method of repeated doses to determine the toxicity of the whole plant infusion orally. To describe the effects of infusion were used as experimental Biomodel albino mice, which were administered a dose of 25 mg / kg, 200 mg / kg and 2000 mg of dried plant / kg body weight suggested by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). Throughout the 28 days of observation the animals did not show significant changes in the consumption of food and water. Occurred at baseline, after the first dose administration of short-term changes in the behavioral profile. It was found that the infusion at doses causing no deaths, significant effect on blood chemistry, or gross changes in vital organs. As the infusion has a low toxicity under our conditions.

ABSTRACT The study of general toxicity of the species was carried out Chenopodium ambrosioides.By the method of dose repeatedly to determine the toxicity of the infusion of the entire plant orally. To describe the effects of the infusion were used albino mice like biomodelo experimental, to the ones that I am administered them the dose of 25 mg/kg, 200 mg/Kg and 2000 mg of the dry plant /Kg of corporal weight; suggested by the Organization for the Cooperation and the Economic Development (OCDE). Along the 28 days of observation the animals did not show significant alterations in the consumption of water and food. It was produced to the start of the study, after the first administration of the short term changes dose in the profile of conduct. It was found that the infusion to the dose

administered does not cause death, significant effect in the blood chemistry, neither macroscopic alterations in vital organs. For which the infusion presents a low low toxicity our conditions. Corregido por elman
