3. Thesis Title: HRM Strategic Integration and Organisational Performance

4. Problem Definition and Hypothesis: The thesis research aims at addressing three questions a. How would one know if the HRM Practices of an Organisation are strategic? b. Do Organisations have different levels of HRM strategic integration experience corresponding levels of Organisational Performance? c. How do organizational characteristics affect the contribution of HRM strategic integration to organizational performance?

5. Literature relating to problem: a. International HRM models from various timeframes. b. Various journal articles regarding the Strategic Integration of HRM in Organisations. c. Research outcomes of the various Strategic Integration of the HRM in the functions of HR.

d. Books relating to Strategic HRM. e. Books relating to Organisational Performance.

6. Scope of Thesis Work: The scope for this research would be to assist the organisations in integrating the HRM strategies into the operational functions and tackle the organizational performance.

7. Research Methodology: Sampling A random sampling of about over 200 Organisations in India from cross section of Industries were selected. Data Collection Methods- Quantitative method of data collection with a questionnaire with Likert scale with demographic data of each responding organization. Data Collection- The data collection was carried out between February 2011 and April 2011. The survey contained 50 data points and the respondents consisted senior HR experts and specialists. Data Analysis- The following testing would be done for the analysis Normality Testing, Anova Testing, Chi-square and bi-variate correlation, mean testing and regression analysis.

8. Justification for choosing a research proposal: The justification of the topic is three-folda. HR practitioners understanding of linking HR with business. b. The effects of HRM strategic integration on Organisational Performance. c. Degree of integration and relative performance level.
