England pushed Irish out of Ireland, because they were catholic. They wanted to colonize.

They brought over the protestant Scottish. In 1840 the Irish came to America. One thing that helped the Irish people was that they spoke English. The Irish people stuck close together. The Irish much like MexicanAmericans in terms of stay close nit and sticking to their religion. While living in America if a person from Irish decent was found to be a criminal they were sent to Australia. Came over during the famon(potatoe) in 1840-came to New York lived in poor neighborhoods, mostly children/women worked because they could be paidless. Up till 1850 until 1911 Tragic fire shirt factories 500 women/kids died, because there was no safety codes-osha. When the English tried to force Irish out it was to confiscate their lands. They brough Scots to farm lands. The English were Protestants they forbid the Irish to use native language, of their history or to hold religious services. There wages were sevserly cut down to their nationality. They were treated like ..english. Six countries in no Ireland Irish try to gain freedom for all but only gained partial freedom .. 1920 Irish gained twelve countiesIrish Republic. During ww1 the Irish was going to fight with the Germans, the English tried to bargin with them and said they would give them their freedom if they didn t fight with the Germans then the Irish were deceived and did not get back their prioirities.
