HOW DOES EDUCATION 2020 WORK?

It is a web-based program... Students can access it in school and at home. It is monitored by a certified faculty member. Most subjects are available with the exception of foreign language. Credit is earned by completing units in respective subject areas.

CRITERIA FOR SELECTING A CREDIT RECOVERY STUDENT

Seniors short of credits for graduation.(Have first priority) A freshman that has or will be retained. Must have exhausted all other possibilities to acquire credits

EDUCATION 2020 CONS

Tends to reward students for negative behavior. Disrupts the summer school program. Limited amount of seats available. Reduces teacher & student interaction. Reduces the amount of seat time required for class. Only allows for one method to measure mastery of content area.

RECOMMENDATIONS
Make more seats available. Program should be available to all students. Stricter Guidelines to qualify for program. Students should receive a letter grade. Raise the standards for passing grades.
