Letter of Intent for studying in France

Respected Sir/Maam I am Nikhil Mahajan and I have been accepted into masters in management (Grand Ecole) program in ESCP Europe. I decided to pursue a degree in management outside India because of my personal and educational goals. On the educational front I wanted to have exposure to international methods of management and to experience working in an international environment while personally, I wanted to learn and interact with different languages, cultures and expand my mental horizons. Keeping these goals in mind I decided to pursue my graduate studies in France. Masters in management degree offered by ESCP Europe in Paris is regarded as one of the best courses in management. Further, France is an economic super power and plays an important role in world trade. France also houses many fortune 500 corporations and hence provides a lot of opportunities to gain international work experience in top corporations. Even though France is a melting pot of cultures from all over the world it is also retains its own traditions and cultures. Paris especially is a fusion of a contemporary cosmopolitan city and a city which is deeply rooted in its art and traditions, a trait which is very appealing to me. Further, it will give me an opportunity to learn and practice French, which is spoken in almost 40 countries and is a very important business language, in its natural environment. In the end I feel I will be able to represent the culture of India in France as I have lived in and travelled to various cities in India and experienced the varied culture first hand. I also feel through my internship experience in a consultancy, Investment bank and a petroleum refinery I will be able to provide a unique perspective about working culture in India. Hence I feel I am a perfect candidate for the scholarship.
