Dear Parents/Caregivers

Ng mihi o te w kia koe me te whnau. We hope you have all managed to keep warm and safe during this cold, wintery week. A big thank you to our Road Patrol people who have endured the chilly conditions to carry out their duties. It is much appreciated. Last week saw the creation of a new classroom in the Senior School to help alleviate a very positive problem caused by a pleasing roll increase. Thank you all for your co-operation on this as the new classes created are being very well received by staff and the children themselves. It has meant smaller class sizes and the ability to group classes again for the best combinations to provide the opportunities for extremely effective teaching and learning. We are lucky to have an experienced teacher such as Mr Graham to set up and teach this new class. Congratulations to Donald Thomson and Jade Peretini, two Year 7 students, on their wonderful prize at this years Southland Science Fair. A big thank you to Mrs Russell, our Specialist Science Teacher for her thorough preparation of the students for this event. We are looking forward to the Ski Trip on Thursday 1 September.
