Time: 20 minutes Level: Intermediate Gender: Male/Female Age: 15 Materials: photos Interaction: Ss-Ss, T-Ss, Ss-T Assumptions: They know present and past tenses. Anticipated Problems: They may have difficulty in understanding the text because there some unfamiliar artist names in the text. They can say speakers speak fast. Solutions: At pre-listening part teacher makes the artist familiar to them with the help of some pictures and info. Teacher can stop the recording after each answer. OBJECTIVES By the end of the lesson, the students 1) Will have improved their listening skill. 2) Will have understood the listening text. 3) Will have practiced some expressions like time off , give up , get rave views PRE-LISTENING Time: 3 minutes Materials: photos Interaction: Ss-Ss, T-Ss, Ss-T What students do: They answer the questions of teacher and share their experiences with the class. Grouping: The whole class Aims: - To motivate the students to get to the topic. - To arouse the curiosity about listening text. - To get the students have a purpose to listen to the text.

STEPS 1) Shows the some interesting pictures asks what could they be 2) Ss made guesses about the pictures 3) After their guesses teacher talks about the pictures and tells what the pictures really are 4) Then says I have two friends their names are gary and rita. WHILE-LISTENING Time: 12 minutes Materials: worksheets, recording Interaction: Ss-ss, T-ss, Ss-Ss What students do: They will listen to recording, put a tick the ones they hear, fill in the chart according to the text. Grouping: individuals for the first listening, pairs for the second listening First Listening Aims: - To have the students get the main idea of the text. - To check their predictions and answers. - To make them to understand the recording generally. STEPS

1) The teacher gives worksheets to students. 2) Teacher wants students to read the phrases at the first part. 3) Teacher wants to students to put a tick the ones they hear. 4) The teacher plays the recording. 5) The ss check the answers with the help of their friends. 6) Teacher asks some detailed questions on order to make a bridge between the first and second listening. As students didn t listen in detail. They can t answer the questions. So teacher says Don t worry we will listen again.

Second Listening Aims: - To get students have more specific information about the text. - To get them understand the text in detail. STEPS 1) Teacher wants ss to have a look at the chart. 2) After students look at the chart, 3) They listen to the text again to fill in the gaps. 4) After they completed the chart 5) They turn to their partners and check their answers 6) Then teacher wants 2 volunteer students on the board that will act as if they are gary and rita . 7) Other students will ask questions about the chart and in this way they will check the answers. POST LISTENING Time: 5 minutes Materials: -Interaction: Ss-ss What students do: They study with their group members and make presentation in the class. Grouping: group working Aims: - To have the students practice writing and speaking. STEPS 1. The teacher asks the students to work in group of four. 2. They will search different and interesting arts like pin hole , making sculptures from ice , coloring hands 3. They will collect info about one interesting art and make a presentation at the class with their group members. (5 min each group)
