Conclusion

Based on the result, all the Reynolds number have been calculated. Laminar flow occurs when the Reynolds number calculated is below than 2300, transitional flow occurs when Reynolds number calculated is between 2300 and 4000 while turbulent flow occurs when Reynolds number calculated is above 4000. Therefore, this experiment obey the objectives which is to observe the characteristic of the flow of the fluid in the pipe, which may be laminar, transitional or turbulent flow and secondly is to compute the Reynolds number by using the formula Re = ( Q x D ) /(A x V).

Recommendations
Firtsly, control the clip and valve carefully to get long thin of laminar dye flow. Second, do this experiment at unvibrating place. Next, make sure there is no leakage at the equipment to get the accurate result. Besides that, make sure the eyes parallel with the meniscus while taking the reading of volume at 2L of water level to avoid parallax error. Lastly is, to avoid error take the same person who read the reading for volume of water at starting at 0L until 2L and who guard the stop watch.
