Prerequisite knowledge:Pupils are able to name various resources of energy from previous lesson and can state what mean by renewable and non-renewable energy. Scientific skills : a. Science process skills b. Manipulative skills : classifying, generating idea, making inference,communicating : active involve in grouping and discussion.

Teaching and Learning aids : ICT, manila card, flash card, ping-pong ball Scientific Attitudes and Noble Values:  Appreciating and practising clean and healthy living, being thankful to God. Key Vocabulary : renewable, non-renewable, replenished, wastage, wisely, resources, usable, coal.

Stage Orientation (5 Minutes)

Contents Video of renewable and nonrenewable energy.

Teaching and Learning activities Pupils watch video about renewable and non-renewable energy resources. Teacher shows GO about energy. Pupils state what mean by renewable and non-renewable energy and give examples.

Eliciting the idea (10 Minutes)

Energy should be used wisely

Pupilswere given flash card and manila card. The game is energy puzzle. Based on the flash card, pupils predict why energy should be used wisely. Pupils discuss in group. They write the answer on the manila card. Teacher discusses with pupils and showed the GO.

Renewable energy is better than nonrenewable energy

Pupils are listening the explanation from the teacher about the advantages of renewable energy. Pupils write into the book. Pupils also answer the questions through ICT.

Pupils are given worksheet. Pupils play my lucky number. In the box, there are ping-pong balls which arerepresenting their number in the class.

When music stops, the person will take the ping-pong ball and state the number. The pupil who is the number will answer the questions. He/she will write the answer on the blackboard. The others write the answer in the exercise book. Pupils are given worksheet and explain why energy should be wisely. Pupils state that renewable energy is better than non-renewable energy. Pupils conclude the topic. Teacher asks pupils to thankful to the God.
