HEAT

HEAT is a Form of Energy

State that sun gives out heat. State other sources of heat. State that heat is form of energy. Give the example of the use of heat. State the meaning of temperature. State the differences between heat and temperature.

The Sun Gives Out Heat

Sun is the main source of heat energy. Most of the sun heat radiated into space but only a small amount of it reaches the earth to keep it warm. The sun radiates heat and light in all directions into space. The heat of the sun is transmitted by waves to earth.

OTHER SOURCE OF HEAT

Rubbing of friction. Burning. Collision. Electricity.

HEAT
Heat is a form of energy. When heat energy is supplied to a substance, the temperature of a substance will rise. Heat flows from hotter to a colder place.(the process of heat transfer will stop when the temperature of the two places become the same).

The Content of heat depend on; Temperature of the substance. (if temperature of substance increase, the heat content of substance greater) The volume of substance. (if the volume of substance increase then the heat content of the substance is greater) The mass of Substance (if the mass of substance increase, then the heat content is greater).

USES of HEAT
Drying. Ironing. Cooking. Keeping Warm.

TEMPERATURE
Is the measure of degree of hotness or coldness of object. Measurement Apparatus= Thermometer. Unit= C Hot Substances = high temperature. Cold Substances= Low temperature.

PERBEZAAN
