I am from, Black widows, deadly. Scorpions and rattlers. A venomous medley. I am from, Palms lining the street Resistant to, The endless heat. I am from, The warm monsoon. Heavy summer rain, High of noon. I am from, The great Sonora. Dried grass and trees, And cacti flora. I am from, Scorching heat. Burning car doors. And hot leather seats. I am from, The desert land. Barrens mountains, Cacti spanned, And grainy sand, I call home, this desert land.
