    France was accessible to the different influences and races and was initially divided into numerous powerful kingdoms.

    Franks, dominated a great part of the country. Bourbon and Valois dynasties ruled the country between the 4th and 18th Centuries.

    Dynasty was brought to an end with the French Revolution in 1789. This event not only changed the established way of life in France but also in the rest of Europe. Napoleon I came to power and ruled the country from1792 to 1814. France was finally established as a republic in 1871.
