Beaded Communion/Rosary Bag

Using thread or small needle, thread approximately 65 6/0 beads onto Lustersheen yarn

Provisionally cast on 52 stitches Using size 3 (3.25mm) needle, pick up those 52 sts to begin working Beginning with a purl row, work stockinette for 3 rows (PKP) Row 5: k2 *place bead, knit 5 sts* repeat from * to last 2 sts, k2 Rows 6-10: work 5 rows stockinette: P K P K P Row 11: k2, k3 *place bead, knit 5* repeat from * to last 4 sts, knit 4 Rows 12-16: work 5 rows stockinette: P K P K P Row 17: as row 5 Rows 18-22: work 5 rows stockinette: P K P K P Row 23: as row 11 Rows 24-28: work 5 rows stockinette: P K P K P Row 29: as row 5 Rows 30-34: work 5 rows stockinette: P K P K P Row 35: as row 11 Rows 36-40: work 5 rows stockinette: P K P K P Row 41: as row 5 Rows 42-44: work 3 rows stockinette: P K P

Row 45: Eyelet round for drawstring: k2, *k2, yo two times, k2tog* twelve times, end k2 Row 46: purl Row 47: as row 11 Rows 48-52: work 5 rows stockinette: P K P K P Row 53: Bind off purl-wise, leaving extra long tail to seam side and to do 3needle bind off on base of bag. Use your choice of ribbon, i-cord, leather, etc to secure drawstring.
