38 Days Until Ontario Families Get Their Say on HST

Last week BC families had their say on their governments attack on their pocketbook. In 38 days Ontario families will get their own chance to choose between more taxes from Tax Man Dalton McGuinty, or change with Tim Hudak and the Ontario PC Party who will give families relief.

While Tax Man Dalton McGuinty has spent the last eight years hitting Ontario families with his so-called health tax, HST tax grab, eco-taxes, and skyrocketing hydro bills, Tim Hudak and the Ontario PC Party will give families relief.

The relief offered by Tim Hudak and the Ontario PC Party in Changebook is:

$275 (more like $475 here in Nipissing) in relief on their hydro bill by:

o o o

Removing the provincial portion of the HST from residential hydro bills Removing the provincial portion of the HST from residential home heating bills Removing the debt retirement charge from residential hydro bills

$1,400 in relief for a middle class family by bringing in income sharing for all couples, allowing them to share up to $50,000 of their income for tax purposes.

$258 by lowering incomes taxes on middle class taxpayers by 5% on the first $75,000 of their taxable income.

While British Columbia families got their relief from the HST, on October 6th Ontario families get their chance to vote for change and relief from Tax Man Dalton McGuinty just 38 days from today.
