Special Purpose Map

A special purpose map is a map with a specific focus. For example, a SPM could include the bicycle routes in your neighborhood, the path of killer bees in Africa, ocean currents, energy use, or pizza delivery areas. Even the treasure map in the classic adventure story, Treasure Island, is a SPM! Your assignment is to create a special map that is unique to you. It should reveal something about you that no one else can claim. Follow the rubric and the criteria below and have fun!

Your special purpose map must include: Title Compass rose Key Color Symbols Creativity Organization and clarity Students name and class period NOTE: Projects must be turned in with the rubric stapled to the front, rubric face up, and fill out properly with name, period, and date. Projects will only be accepted in this format.
