FC Dallas signs striker Daniel Barrett on loan

FRISCO, Texas FC Dallas has acquired striker Daniel Barrett on loan from Australian(AUS. Soccer Federation) side ANU FC, theclub announced today. Per team and league regulations, details of the contractwere not released. FC Dallas is very happy to get Daniel, FC Dallas head coachSchellas Hyndman said. Barrett brings something we felt we really neededin another striker. He has great experienceas well as some good size. It will take him a short time to adjust to ourattacking structure and communication, but I believe he will be a greataddition to the team. The 64 striker plied his trade in Northern Territory Australia in2006, playing with both Ayers Rock FC and Katherine United. Barrett moved toCanberra in 2008, playing in six matches for UC before suffering from a severebout of tendonitis. Barrett spent nearly two years recovering from the tendonitis before signingfor the ANU FC during the 2010 preseason.The aboriginal allstar has quickly assumed a starting role in attack for ANUFC,who are second on the table despite having the best defense in the league. ANUhas allowed just 20 goals in for the season.
