Important Points to Note 1. GD is only for selection in IIM C, IIM L & IIM Kashipur. All IIMs except IIM A have essay as a component of their selection procedure. 2. Most IIMs have clarified in their selection procedure that the scores for 10th, 12th and Graduation is calculated taking the board and academic discipline (arts, science, etc) into account. 3. The six new IIMs (Kashipur, Raipur, Ranchi, Rohtak, Trichy and Udaipur) will adopt common process of WA (essay) & PI to be coordinated by IIM Ranchi. They are likely to release calls about 8-10 times their total number of seats (around 670seats). In case any older IIMs (Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Indore, Kozhikode and Lucknow) are willing to share their WA & PI scores with the six new IIMs, the common candidates who have applied to new IIMs, need not to appear for WA & PI process separately. The common candidates will be intimated the names of older IIMs sharing WA & PI scores with new IIMs in due course of time.

4. In case of IIM C, IIM Raipur & IIM Udaipur, work-ex points start decreasing beyond a certain number of years.

Institute specific points IIM A 1. Overseas candidates applying thorough GMAT (taken in the last 24 months as on 15 December 2011) need to have a total score of atleast 700. 2. Combined total score of 30 points for academics & work ex in first round of selection for PI is calculated as: (A*B*C)+D+E with a max score of 30

3. Candidates having cleared CA/ICWAI without having bachelors degree - their average of inter and final levels marks will be treated as Bachelors degree marks. 4. Personal Interview Score of 70 includes performance in the personal interview, academic performance and achievements, extra-curricular activities and post-degree work experience. IIM B 1. For applying with a GMAT score, candidate must have resided abroad for at least 18 months in the preceding three years (Jan 2009 to Dec 2011) and should not be/have been in a position to appear for CAT2011. 2. The work-ex score (max 5 in the pre-PI stage) will be multiplied by the quality of work experience score on a 5 point scale (0 0.5 1 1.5 2) as given by interviewers in the PI process to give a maximum score of 10 for work experience in the final selection. 3. The top 10 candidates in each sectional and total score in CAT, adjusted SSC, HSC, Bachelors, and Professional (CA/ ICWA/CS) automatically qualify for PI. 4. There is an essay (called note) in the PI stage. Out of the 15 points for the note, note content carries 7.5 points and note style carries 7.5 points. Students are given around 30 mins to write the note on a given topic.

IIM L & IIM Kashipur Professional diversity points is given to students from Arts, Humanities, Commerce, Economics, CA, CS, ICWA, Education (including Physical Education & Sports), Law, Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacology, Pharmacy and BBA background. IIM L ABM Professional diversity points is given to students from Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Science/Technology, Forestry, Food Technology, Horticulture, Rural Studies, Rural Sociology, Rural Cooperatives, Rural Banking, Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Zoology and Veterinary Science. IIM K 1. There is no break-up given of the 15 points of Profiles in the final selection round. However, quality of work-ex will be a major or total component of it. 2. 30-45 mins will be given for the essay. IIM I Professional diversity points will be given to candidates from backgrounds like CA, ICWA, CS, Medicine/Dentistry, and Law. IIM Rohtak 1. Apart from the minimum CAT percentile requirement, IIM Rohtak also has a minimum academic perentage requirement:

2. Professional diversity points will be given to non-engineers. 3. Profiles parameter of 20 points in the final selection will include quality of work-ex (assessed during interview), Past Academic Performance (PAP) and any other criterion included. IIM Raipur & IIM Udaipur Professional diversity points will be given to non-engineers. IIM Trichy 1. For getting a PI call, the candidate should qualify the minimum CAT & academic requirement criteria.
