Category 1: Sitting Exercises for the Upper Body and Trunk Position: Sitting erect with arms relaxes at sides or in lap Neck Exercises 1. Chin Tuck (axial extensions) Look straight ahead Guide neck back to make a double chin Hold 3 seconds Relax Indications VIP: Vision Impaired (glasses) Osteoporosis ROM (Range Of Motion) Precautions Dizziness Neck Pain 2. Head Turns (rotations) Look straight ahead Turn head to look over shoulder Return to front Repeat to other side Indications ROM (Range Of Motion) Relaxation ADL (Active Daily Living) Driving, dressing, cleaning Precautions Dizziness Neck Pain

3. Head Tilts (lateral flexion) Look straight ahead Tilt head slowly toward shoulder (Do Not raise shoulder toward ear) Hold 3 seconds Repeat to other side Indications ROM (Range Of Motion) ADL (Active Daily Living)- Looking under cabinet or around an object Precautions Dizziness Neck Pain
