santa sangre
Drapes of Wrath
DIRECTION 1
My first idea stems from the two main characters, the mother and son, who are the epicenter of Santa Sangre. The drapes symbolizing a sort of pseudo- link between the mother and son. The first scene introduces an inclosed room, with the drapes. The camera then goes on to the dagger, which begins cutting the first drape, then second, and so on until everything has been cut by the dagger. The dagger then drops and all of the drapes start to converge in space to the middle of the room, and form a ball. The animation ends with two arms growing out of the drapes.

Mechanical Bride
DIRECTION 2
In this direction, the main symbol in the story (the young girl with no arms) is warped into ominous figures, metallic, mechanical, and cold. The lifeless figures stand in the enclosed space with lights that are suspended in space. Blood then begins to pour out of there empty limp sockets, which is also suspended, until finally it all collects into a glass that sits ontop of a pedistal.
