10ID Army Spokesman Belies NPA Claim, Says Mere Propaganda Davao City The 10th Infantry Division spokesman, Lt Col. Lyndon Paniza, corrected what was reported by Manila Times that one soldier was killed in an encounter between the New Peoples Army and the government troops yesterday, September 18. He said that one soldier was slightly grazed during a 5-minute firefight with the lawless armed group, New Peoples Army, at Sitio Guinobatan, Paradise Embac, Paquibato District, Davao City at 8:55 a.m. yesterday, Sept. 17 and no one was killed. Paniza added that probably, these NPAs are feeding wrong information to the media in their continuous act of lying and propaganda. We dont have to hide anything nor feed wrong information. Every soldier in our division is fully accounted for and every casualty, be it killed or wounded in action, are given decent burial and utmost care, respectively. The members of lawless armed group, NPA, operating in Paquibato, are not only kidnappers but also incorrigible liars. Referring to the recently reported kidnapped six traders in Paquibato District by the NPAs, he said that, It is ironic KARAPATAN is silent about the blatant violation of life and liberty of the six kidnap victims. Is their version of human rights selective? The civilians from Misamis Oriental went missing last August 24, 2011 at Paquibato District. Paniza said, We are expecting that more disinformation will be spread by this lawless group just so that they can attract media attention. ---END---
