User Manual for JVigil


1) Unzip & Extract the contents of the file ‘JVigil.zip’
2) Goto the <JVigil> Directory.
3) Do appropriate changes in the ‘jboss.config’ file (Do not modify the format of the
file)
4) Double click on ‘JVigil.bat’
5) Select from the menu, “Server  Open  Select the ‘.config’ file.
6) Enter a session name. By default the name of the config file is set as session
name. But it is advisable to give an unique name to each monitoring session. (For
example, DHLDCC_25_12_2005). If you enter a same session name, it shows a
warning screen.
7) Enter the monitoring ‘interval’ value. (5 is set as default).
8) Click the ‘Start’ button
9) In the ‘Graph’ Tab, real time graphs are available for monitoring.
10) Click on a ‘category’, and wait till the graph is shown. The graph is updated
periodically.
11) When the test is over, click on the stop button.
12) Now, to store the monitor statistics in form of CSV, goto the directory
<JVigil>/results. Here you will find CSV generated for each session.
