Methods for the analysis of contaminants and additives, ether as impurities or as compounds added to produce certain property changes, are presented, ‘Since the United States entered the rocket engine, guided missile, and space exploration fields, much time, effort and money have been devoted to the search for higher energy rocket propellants. As each forward step was made, many problems had to be solved in the missile systems on guidance, engines, components, support equipment, and on the handling, storage and quality control of rocket propellants. ‘Altkough the problems and solutions relating to guidance, engines, components, Support equipment and handling and storage of rockets is well-documented, the problems and procedures for analysis and quality control of liquid rocket propellants Ere documented sketchily, except for the actual specification documents for pro pellant procurement, which present the latest analytical methods and propellant requirements. “The much overlooked field of sampling techniques and samplers is discussed with the sole purpose of providing information where technical reports, notes, papers, land memoranda are unavailable, Many individuals and companies have contributed to this compilation. I sincerely appreciate their cooperation, without which this project could not have been undertaken, September 1976 HE, Malone
