Indian Fashion Guru Spreaded Fashion Dust in Paradise Island Mauritius


DATE:- 22ND FEB 2011 New Delhi -India's leading fashion technologist and educationalist -Ratnadeep lal who pioneered fashion education in india in early 90s was invited to Mauritius -paradise on earth island to establish a fashion institute for imparting fashion designing ,apparel merchandising ,interior designing etc. Mr lal who is founder chairman International Institute Of Fashion Technology (IIFT) along with Mauritius Managing director Anup johri met Mauritius Prime minister Naveenchandra Ramgoolam and President Aneerudh jugnauth and updated their mission. last week IIFT has organized biggest ever international fashion extravaganza in Mauritius and invited leading designers from India, Pakistan, South Africa, UK and included local Mauritian designers. The concluding finale collection was with Manish Malhotra -Bollywood designer of India. Speaking on the occasion Mr lal said Mauritius is a great place for such fashion event and we will place Mauritius in fashion map in coming years by making the event annually. with the increasing scope of fashion these days variety of textiles and materials are available all over the world and Mauritius will very soon enjoy a benefit of acquiring a prominent place in the global market. Mr. lal who has trained over 75000 professionals of garment and fashion industry world wide through IIFT was speaking on the occasion in J. J. Auditorium in Mauritius.
