Head Coach Cody Rumpel Provides Leadership to Regis High School Girls Varsity Basketball Team Friday, September 23, 2011, Eau Claire, WI: Regis High School proudly announces Cody Rumpel, a 6th grade Regis Middle School Teacher, as the Head Coach for the Girls Varsity Basketball team. Mr. Todd Fischer, Regis Principal commented, Cody Rumpel provides a Core Values approach and stability to the girls basketball program. Codys ability to promote teamwork is an important asset to strengthen the already talented student athletes on the Varsity team, and the players throughout our program. Cody Rumpel stated, I am grateful to continue coaching and have the opportunity to work with this Division IV girls State Championship team. We have several talented players returning from last years team that lead through example and help to inspire younger players in the Regis basketball program. My goal-oriented style of coaching will help shape the girls strengths, as teammates and as individuals, throughout the whole RCS girls basketball program. The Regis girls basketball program begins in fifth grade by combining the players from Immaculate Conception, St. Marys and St. James Catholic Elementary Schools. Our approach will focus on what is best for the whole RCS girls basketball program, said Cody Rumpel. Cody Rumpel grew up on a small farm in Arcadia, and began his coaching career while in college at Winona State University. Cody was Assistant Coach on the Regis Girls Basketball team for the 2010-2011 season. In addition to coaching basketball, Rumpel teaches sixth grade Math and Science at Regis, coaches middle school football, and is an assistant coach for the Regis baseball program.
