Ladies and gentlemen, thanks for your attendance/participation. Today we will talk about the Mosquitoes, This presentation has 3 parts 1) Mosquito anatomy 2) Mosquito diseases 3) Prevention

Lets start with / First / Lets look at / Lets talk about 1) Mosquito anatomy Mosquitoes have 4 stages of development: egg, larvae, worm and adult. They need water to complete their lifecycle. The female feeds on blood and so they can carry infectious diseases they need blood to start their gonotrophic cycle and lay eggs. Males do not feed on blood.

2) Mosquito diseases Mosquitoes sting can transfer infectious diseases, such as malaria, dengue and Nilo Occidental fever. Larvae of mosquito can be found in water stored out for over a week. In most cases, 1 cm deep water is enough for them to complete the larvae stage. 3) Prevention
Dont store water outside specially in hot weather Use mosquito lotion or spray for protection (check lotion for babies) Close windows and use mosquito wire (mosquitero)
