First Conditional

Use

We use the first conditional clauses to talk about actions likely to happen in the present or future.

Example: If I study hard, I will pass the exam.

S t r u c tu r e
IF + SIMPLE PRESENT + , + SUBJECT + WILL + VERB + REST.

Example: If my mother goes out, I will sleep all day long


SUBJECT + WILL + VERB + REST + IF + SIMPLE PRESENT

Example: I will sleep all day long If my mother goes out

Examples
If he passes his driving test, he will buy a car.

If I have time, I will visit my grandparents at the weekend.

I will buy a new sofa as soon as I have enough money.
