This document analyzes using GPS to provide velocity and bearing information for pedestrian navigation systems. It compares the velocity and bearing directly provided by GPS to values derived from GPS position measurements. Field tests were conducted and the results were analyzed to evaluate the accuracy of using GPS for velocity and bearing estimates in pedestrian navigation applications.
