    The Huskies JV soccer team played Littleton on September 15th at the DCHS Upper Field. In the first half, the Huskies led 1-0 with goalkeeper T. Dennehy making several saves to preserve the lead. In the second half, Littleton tied the game at 1-1 with only 10 minutes remaining. After two overtime periods, Littleton scored the winning goal with 1 minute and 30 seconds left in overtime two to defeat the Huskies 2-1. Though a tough loss, the Huskies saw improvements in defense, goalkeeping, and communication.

    Game Notes & Goal Descriptions


    Game conditions were perfect for soccer mild, minimal wind, slightly overcast.
    DC JV played this game against Littleton in the District Stadium. The first half closed with the Huskies
    carrying a 1-0 lead. As the half ended, T. Dennehy was flawless in the net, making countless saves for his
    field players.
    The second half ended 1-1, the equalizer coming with only 10 min. left in regulation. The score was a
    beautifully placed chip over T. Dennehy.
    After the end of the first 5 min. overtime, the Littleton Lions scored on a through ball with 1 min. 30 sec. left
    in overtime two. Though devastated by the defeat, the Huskies were optimistic about improved defense,
    tremendous saves, and more vocal communication.
