BAR GRAPHS
- bar graphs is a chart that compares the relative amount of items by using bars of equal width in varying lengths - bar graphs can be vertical or horizontal - can appear on both sides of the axis to indicate positive and negative quantities. - cannot represent exact quantities or provide comparisons of quantities

PIE CHARTS
- is a circle graphs that uses various sized slice to represent relative parts of the whole. -used for presenting numerical data. - good providing a quick visual impression of a particular item.

PICTOGRAPHS
- is a variation of a bar graphs that used symbols instead of bars to illustrate specific quantities of items -shows the changes in particular items over a period of time. - symbols should realistically correspond to the items.

LINE GRAPHS
- Line graphs is a diagram whose points are connected to show the relationship between two or more variables

How do we make a line graph?

A line graph ALWAYS has a title! A line graph has two different
Y

axiss An axis is either the horizontal line (called x) or the vertical line (called y) that form the base lines of a graph.

YOU TELL ME.

What color is the y-axis?

Y
What color is the x-axis?

X-axis AND Y-axis

When you are making a line graph, the x-

axis is always horizontal, and the y-axis is always vertical. The x and y-axis usually starts with zero on a line graph It is important to make sure that the intervals on our y-axis are always equal. What do I mean by this?

INTERPRETING LINE GRAPHS

When we are setting up a line graph, we need to

decide what intervals we want to use.

If we are graphing the temperature for a year, do

we want to put 365 days on the graph, and 100 different temperatures?

When we see a horizontal flat line, that means

that there was no change during a specific time period.

PLOTTING LINE GRAPHS

When we are plotting a line graph, it is important to

read what information is on each axis. There must be a label on each axis that describes the information. Much like a bar graph, we look at the x-axis first in order to plot our points.

Time in minutes

GANTT CHARTS
- used for scheduling and tracking key event to complete a project. - to show the steps involved in a project and their relationships over time. - gantt chart can help a team to document progress on a project. - the chart is update by filling in the task bar to a length proportional to the a amount of work that has been finished
