October 4, 2011 Dear parents, As you may already be aware, [school] accepts education students from the University

of Illinois into the classroom to provide them with experience in their chosen field. This semester, [cooperating teacher] has graciously agreed to host two such students. We would like to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves. Megan Cavitt is a senior in History and Secondary Education. By May 2012, she will be certified to teach the social sciences and English at the secondary level (grades 6-12). She has worked at the high school level at Urbana High School and at the middle school level at Jefferson Middle School in Champaign and Unity Junior High School in Tolono. She has previously taught lessons in ancient world cultures and nineteenth-century United States history.
