ேபாது ஏன் அெமரிக்காவில் இந்த கவனித்த சிலியா உனக்கு
கலாச்சாரம் இல்ைல என்று ேநரமாகிவிட்ட ெதன்றால் பிறகு ஒரு
வருந்துவதுண்டு. நாள் என்றாள்.
அவள் சிகெரட்ைட எடுத்து உள்ேள
ைவத்தாள.

இல்ைல பரவாயில்ைல என்று விட்டு அறிவிப்ைப பார்த்துவிட்டு
ஒரு ஆல் ேடர்ன் எடுத்து எக்கர்ஸ் சலித்தப்படிேய உள்ேள ைவத்தாள்.

கண்ணுக்கு பட்டது ' ஹூஸ் அவுட்
உன் வீட்ைட சுற்றிப்பார்க்கலாமா
ைசட்" என்று அறிவிப்பு தான்.
என்று ேகட்டுக் ெகாண்ேட
வலப்புறம் இருந்த
ஐயாம் ேஸா ஸாரி என்று
படுக்ைகயைறக்குள் நுைழந்தாள்.
ெசால்லிவிட்டு ெவளிேய
அசந்து ேபானாள். ஒரு
ைவத்திருந்து காலணி ெபட்டியில்
திருமணமாகாதவனின் வீட்டிற்கு
தன் ைஹ ஹீல்ைஸ விட்டு அழகான
வந்த சுவேட இல்ைல. எல்லாம்
ெவள்ைள கால்களுடன் ெமத்ெதன்று
இருக்க ேவண்டிய இடத்தில்
உள்ேள நுைழந்து மறுபடியும்
இருந்தது.
ேசாபாவில் அமர்ந்துக் ெகாண்டாள்.
துணிமணிகள் அழகாக அடுக்கி
ைபயிலிருந்து மீண்டும்
ைவக்கப்பட்டிருந்தன. படுக்ைக
புைகப்ெபட்டிைய எடுத்தவள் ' ேநா

உன் வீடு மிகவும் எளிைமயாகவும்

பார்" என்று தன்னிடேம ெசால்லிக் அைணத்துவிட்டு தன் படுக்ைக
ெகாண்டாள். அைறக்கு ெசல்லும் அலமாரியில்
இருந்த ெதய்வங்கைள
அெமரிக்க ெதாைலகாட்சிகள் மிகவும்
வணங்கிவிட்டு உறங்கச் ெசன்றான்.
தரங்ெகட்ட நிலைமயில் இருக்கிறது.
ஒரு நிகழ்ச்சியும் யாைரயும்
திட்டாமல் ேகவலப்படுத்தாமல் 4
இருக்காது. மதங்கைளயும்
மனிதர்களும் நிறத்ைதயும் ைவத்து காைலயில் 6 மணிக்கு அலார்ம்
தான் இவர்களுைடய நைகச்சுைவ ைவக்காமேலேய எழுந்தான். காைலக்
உணர்ேவ. இல்லாவிட்டால் கடன்கைள முடித்துவிட்டு ேதனீர்
அளவில்லாமல் காமக் ேகளிக்ைகள். கலந்து அவள் கதைவ தட்டிவிட்டு
அைத அைணத்து விட்டு அவைளப் உள்ேள ெசன்றான். அவள்
பார்த்து ' சாப்பாடு எப்படி" என்று எழுந்தபாடு இல்ைல.
ேகட்டான்.
குழந்ைத ேபால் அவள் உறங்குவைத
பார்த்து ரசித்தான். முகத்தில் கைள

இது கூட கிைடக்காவிட்டால் நான்
ெகாஞ்சமும் குைறய வில்ைல. சாயம்
இருக்கும் பசியில் உன்ைனேய
ேபாட்ட உதடுகள் இல்ைல.
சாப்பிட்டிருப்ேபன் என்றாள
இல்ைலெயன்றால் 12 மணி ேநரத்தில்

எந்த சாயமும் கைரந்துவிடும். சுற்று படுக்ைகயைறயில் இருந்த
முற்றும் பார்த்தான் கான்டாக் குளியலைற ேநாக்கி ெசன்றான்.

அவளும் எழுந்து தயாரானாள்.
சிலியா என்றான் ெமதுவாக அவைள அழகான சுகந்தம் அவள் மூக்ைக
எழுப்பு மனமில்லாமல். ெதாட்டது. தன் அைறைய விட்டு
அவள் ெமதுவாக கண்விழித்து ெவளிேய வந்தவள் ராஜ் இடுப்பில்

ஒரு அெமரிக்க நண்பனின் வீட்டில் கவனித்தாள்.
