2051 Clutch Adjustment

Lift top cover Press the feed tray to the locked down position. Enter diagnostics by pressing and holing the STOP key until diagnostics appears on display. Depress key #4 Depress RUN At this time, whenever TEST is depressed the clutch will fire. This can be heard under the non-op cover. Depressing the ENTER key will cause the clutch to fire at a specific time interval. The interval is not important, listen to insure there is a pattern with no skipping. If the clutch sounds like it is skipping a beat: Remove the side cover without the control panel.

You will see the clutch on the side of the machine with an adjustment screw. The clutch has a big white gear in it.

Clutch adjustment screw The starting adjustment on the clutch is as follows: -while the machine is running in diagnostics #4 (depress RUN and depress ENTER), tighten the adjustment screw (turning clockwise) until the clutch spring spins freely. -loosen the screw (turning counter clockwise)1 to 2 revolutions.

From this point you can Tweak the adjustment until you get a steady rhythm in Diagnostics #4.
