• A programme on World Alzehimer’s Day was
organized in Kasturba Hospital ,BHEL Bhopal
on 21.09.07 in collaboration of Department of
Neuro-Surgery.
• Dr. Sarla Menon, AGM & HOD Neuro Surgery &
Vice President, WIPS BHEL Bhopal gave the
introductory lecture on Alzehimer’s Diseases
(Memory loss and lack of judgment) and
Dementia .

8th JANUARY 2005: ROAD SAFETY WEEK – PREVENTION OF ROAD
ACCIDENTS AND SAFETY QUIZ.
In the Road Safety Week the forum organised an awareness programm on
Prevention Of Road Accidents in collaboration with the Safety and
Environment Engineering Department of BHEL in HRDC. The Theme was –
Road Safety is Zero Accident.
Ms. Mamta Dingrocha, Secretary WIPS welcomed the participants. Dr. Sarla
Menon, Neurosurgeon, Kasturba Hospital and Vice President WIPS, made a
presentation giving details of various causes of road accidents, lossess
due to accidents and their prevention. This was followed by the Safety
Quiz, which was conducted by Ms Veena Pradhan and Mrs. Kantha
Kishnani was the scorer. Eight teams participated in the Quiz Competition.
Winning teams were, Ist – Ms Nidhi Gupta and Ms Suman Ekka,
IInd –Dr. Anita Chandra and Ms. Priti Gupta, IIIrd –Ms Seema Satish and
Ms. Sudha Sharma. The audience also actively participated in the
programme and answered the questions given to them and won the prizes.
Programme was largly attended by members of the Forum. At the end Mrs.
Daisy Bhalla proposed the vote of thanks.
