The West Community Safety Forum discusses concerns in your area.

Heres what we have done recently to tackle things you have told us about: Regular patrols and clean ups to deal with broken glass and dog fouling close to play area at Clermiston Park and needles discarded at Drumbrae Park. Tackling anti-social behaviour through high visibility patrols, engaging with young people, liaising with schools, attending Youth Cafes, sending letters to parents about behaviour and where necessary reports to the Procurator Fiscal and Childrens Reporter.

Stopped dangerous parking around schools making it safer for children to cross roads, and got car drivers to switch off their engines while waiting to reduce fumes. Tackled speeding cyclists in Roseburn Park through education, crime prevention and enforcement. Issued a notice to quit to tenants and tackled unacceptably high levels of visiting and noisy activity throughout the night in a residential street. If you have any concerns youd like the West Community Safety Forum to act on, please fill in, tear off and send back the postcard attached.
