Kernels announce open auditions for PA announcer and on-field host

Cedar Rapids, IA The Cedar Rapids Kernels announce we will be holding open auditions for our game-day PA announcer and on-field host on Sunday, October 16 from noon until 4 pm. The auditions will be held on the field (weather permitting) and in the press box at Perfect Game Field. All auditions must be done in person. Previous experience is required and all interested in auditioning need to download and complete a short application that will be turned into the Kernels by October 14th. Auditions will take approximately 5-10 minutes and the general public is welcome to attend and vote for their top choices. The Kernels play a 70 game home schedule that starts April 9th, and continues through September 3rd. The schedule includes games on weeknights, weekends, holidays and weekday noon games.
