Dear Anna Maria,

You’re my English teacher this year, and I’m just writing to introduce myself. My name’s Sara
López and I’m 15 years old… My birthday is on November, so I’ll be soon 16. I live in
Empuriabrava (near Castelló d’Empúries). About my likes and dislikes… Maybe what I like the
most of all is reading and writing and music (I play the piano and the electric guitar), but I like
also photography and watching films.

I really like my town. I think it’s quiet beautiful! My neighbours com from foreign countries and
they’re only here in summer, so I’m enjoying solitude now. A very important thing for me also is
that I can live near the sea, and I love it!

At school I’m studying history, economy and social maths. My favourite subjects are philosophy
and history. I’m sure I want to go to university, but I don’t know what career I’ll study yet. I
would like to be a journalist travelling around the world taking photos and writing books and
articles for the newspaper about the wars and the poor people of this unfair world. I want to
finish my music studies too. I would be my second and extra profession. I know… Maybe I’m
too much ambitious and I’m dreaming, but working hard I hope I’ll can get it all.
