Creating Info-area, Info-object Catalogue

1. Create an Info Area, to which you want to assign the new Info Object catalog. This function is on the first level of the hierarchy in the Administrator Workbench, under Info Objects. 2. Use the right mouse button to create an Info Object catalog in the Info Area. If you want to make a copy of an existing Info Object catalog, specify a reference Info Object catalog. 3. Choose either characteristic or key figure for the Info Object type, and choose Create.

Creating Info-object

1. In the context menu of your Info Object catalog for characteristics, select Create Info Object. 2. Enter a name and a description 4. Maintain Tab Page: General. You have to enter a description, data type and data length. The following settings and tab pages are optional. 5. Maintain Tab Page: Attributes. This tab page is only available if you have

set the With Master Data indicator on the Master Data/Texts tab page 5. Save and activate the characteristic you have created.

Step by Step creation of BW Objects

Creation of InfoArea:

Execute T-code RSA1

Go to Info Object Tab in AWB (Administrator Work Bench)

Enter the Technical Name and Description for InfoArea

When you click continue the system will ask for a Transport Request. Choose the required TR.

Create Info Catalog inside the InfoArea

Creating Info Catalog for Characteristics

Click create button

After Creating Info Catalog for Char. activate the same.

Similarly create the Info Catalog for Key Figures.

Create Info Object of type Char
