Dear IBM, I am a highly motivated candidate for your Software Developer Co-op position. As you can gather from my resume, I am continuing my education while pursuing industry work in my desired field, Computer Science. Working for a cable company I troubleshot technical issues for their residential customers by phone. Often I am called upon to troubleshoot issues with my friends and familys computers because I have proven reliable again and again. Independently, I studied the Visual Basic language. From studying Visual Basic I clearly understood my talent in the computer programming field needed to be pursued because my capabilities for understanding computer languages was second nature. My computer programming abilities are in the C++, Visual Basic, JAVA, and C# languages. My full-time availability is currently reserved for my summers, because during the spring and fall semesters I take full-time credits loads. Therefore in the summer I do not engage in a course load, but reserve that time to gain experience in my field. I do prefer part-time work during my fall and spring semesters if possible. My current availability includes weekends as well as Mondays, Wednesdays after 4:00 pm, and Fridays. I will greatly appreciate hearing more about the Software Developer Co-op.
