2. The process of translation.

Translation is a process which involves grasping other peoples ideas and expressing them in another language. Taking translation as an example, in order to translate a text, firstly, the translator must understand the original text then translate it into the target language. Thus, the ability to clearly understand the source language is a prerequisite or a basis for expressing others ideas in the object language. Only when you get the meaning correctly can you translate it right. In contrast, every false understanding will lead to a wrong translation.
