CONTINUOUS AND COMPREHENSIVE EVALUATION (CCE) Schools begin ranking students on the basis of their marks from early as their pre-primary years. Such a drive has several negative effects on learning. Students, parents and society at large become anxious in the race to acquire more and more marks in examinations, which leads to an extremely stressful existence. Moreover, error cannot be avoided. This shortcoming can be overcome if the students are placed in activity bands that represent a range of scores. Written exam will be conducted for English Hindi and Sanskrit for writing skills. Reading, speaking and listening will be taken as oral. For Mathematics written examination will be taken for concept, mental ability and activity. Tables will be taken as orals. For Environmental / Social Science, the environmental sensitivity and written work are the aspects for written exam and group discussion, activity and project will be taken as orals. For Science concept, scientific skills and activity/project will be taken as written exam and group discussion for orals. Only written test for General Knowledge, Moral Science and Computer will be conducted during the three evaluations. A full academic year is divided into three evaluations: I, II and III. All subjects will be assessed in a 5-point grading scale: A+, A, B, C and D
