Too good for words

WELL, where do you start with this one? It was a Six Nations performance which left a deliriously happy nation by and large speechless. Either through being numbed into silence by the stirring and unbelievable second-half display served up by Mike Ruddocks men. Or through fans screaming and shouting themselves hoarse as

...as Marcel Marceau might say

Wales produced the comeback to beat any comeback. As the great French mime artist Marcel Marceau would understand, we were almost lost for words. It was that good. Many scoffed when Gareth Edwards said in his Western Mail column before the England game three weeks ago that this was a great Welsh team in the making. I cant believe it. Theyve not beaten anybody, countered Rob Andrew. Well Wales have today. England, Italy and France. Next its Scotland and then Ireland a potential Millennium Stadium winner takes all clash. Six Nations title, Grand Slam and Triple Crown. It was barely three years ago that England and France were talking about the end of the Six Nations as we know it and creating a two-tier system because it had become too easy for them. Suitably humiliated in 2005, their silence on any breakaway plans these days would also do Marcel Marceau proud. Roll on Murrayfield. PAUL ABBANDONATO Head of Sport
