Procedure for setting up WeP LX540 DX 80 column printer for CDR Receipt compatibility. 1. Set the printer settings.

Steps to follow: 1. Click on start menu, go to control panel and open printers and faxes folder. 2. Select the default printer and right click on the default printer and click on properties. A separate screen appears showing printer properties. 3. In properties screen, click on general tab and search for the field Paper Available, this should show Letter as the value.

4. If it shows other than the Letter option click on Device Settings tab, change the value of the field Printer Auto Select as Letter.

5. Go to Advanced tab -> Printing defaults -> Change the paper size to A4.

6. Also in Internet Explorer go to, File->Page Setup set page size as A4 and make left ,right, top and bottom margins as 0(note: if margins are not setting to 0 that will not create any problem.).Also remove header and footer from the same.

1. Put 80 column continuous stationary (fanfold paper) in the printer. 2. If the printer is ON, switch it OFF. 3. Press the TOF ON LINE button with one finger and while this button is pressed power ON the printer. After the printer gets powered on release the TOF ON LINE button. 4. Now the printer will print the Current Printer Setting stored in the printer. 5. In that setting 11th item will be Page Length. By default the value for Page Length will be 12 inch. 6. We have to change to it to 3 inch. Procedure for changing the Page Length to 3 inch is as follows. 1. Printer will be in the Print Direction setting with one FONT LED glowing RED. 2. Press FONT button till both FONT LED and PITCH LED glow RED.

3. Now press TOF ON LINE to change setting 4. The printer will print Current Setting is : Page Length Setting : Current Setting is highlighted Press < - - - - LINE-FORM FEED FONT - - - - > 3, 3.67, 4, 5.5, 6, 7, 8, 8.5, 11, 11.66, 12, 14, 17 5. Now press FONT button THREE times so that it changes as 14, 17 and 3. 6. To check the current setting press TOF ON LINE 7. The printer will print Page Length Setting : Current Setting is highlighted Press < - - - - LINE-FORM FEED FONT - - - - > 3, 3.67, 4, 5.5, 6, 7, 8, 8.5, 11, 11.66, 12, 14, 17 8. Now the printer is set to 3inches page length. 9. Press PITCH button to come out the Current Setting Mode. 10.Switch off the Printer. 11.Now Switch it on.
